Renewable energy is the sole source of power at WPPI Energy's headquarters. A solar photovoltaic (PV) system installed in August 2007 produces 10,000 kWh annually. The balance of the facility's energy needs is met with green power purchased from member utility Sun Prairie Water & Light.

As a 100 percent green-powered facility, WPPI Energy's building serves as a model for other utilities and businesses.
